His father Raymundo, who was on the trail of a gang of white bandits who were stealing cattle from both Indians and settlers, has been recently found dead. A sheep-ranching company turns out to be behind this criminal activity. The company wants to drive the Indians and settlers off the fertile land so that they can purchase it for nothing. Severino decides to remain in his home village to defend it from them, but also because he has fallen in love with Maruja, the granddaughter of the old chief Nicolas, who is filled with hatred against the white settlers. True to form, Nicolas calls for war against the settlers. Severino tries to mediate between the hostile parties. With his own savings, Severino buys back the land that once rightfully belonged to the Indians. In doing so, he not only wins over a number of supporters from his own tribe, but he is also able to unmask the bandits, who had been trying to stir up discord between Whites and Indians. The stubborn chief Nicolas, however, refuses to give up his war plans: in his eyes, Severino is a traitor deserving only death. Maruja now has to save Severino's life from his own tribe.

Meanwhile, the Carrancista troopers and the American army are searching for Pancho Villa's army in disarray, to finish them and their leader. The seven men, the General, and a lonesome hired American (Gringo), start up north; on their way, they cross an old guerrilla and his young companion, Maria, a sexy brunette who decide to join them - and soon Maria becomes the General's lover. The Gringo is sent alone to the farm house to see if it is clear, but he finds there Vera Stevens, a widow whose husband was murdered by Villa's men. The Gringo understands that in the same action, his dear wife was murdered, too... and he changes his loyalty to the blonde widow, who is decided to defend her hose with the sheriff and a handful of her farm hands. They do put up a fight when the General and Villa's seven decide on a full out attack. After much bloodshed, Vera and the Gringo are alone, captured, and tortured to tell where the gold is. They manage to escape their bonds, and counterattack, killing all their enemies, and facing the future with some confidence.

Another Man, Another Chance
( 1977 )
A photographer, who has been hired to photograph the wild west of America where he has lived his entire life, tells his client of a photograph he has that was taken one hundred years ago by his French great-grandmother that epitomizes what he is trying to capture. The story behind the photographer's heritage and that photograph... In the early 1870s, photographer Francis Leroy and who would eventually becomes his wife, Jeanne Leroy née Perriere, a baker's daughter and an aspiring photographer in her own right, move from Paris, where strife has taken hold due to Napoleon's loss in the Franco-Prussian War, to the American west, where the light is more conducive for their photography work. The move is despite not knowing about life at their destination and not knowing how to speak English. Veterinarian David Williams and his wife Mary Williams love each other, but their wants in life are incompatible with each other, David who loves his work treating real animals on farms and ranches, while Mary would rather live in Philadelphia where she was raised, especially as she feels isolated more often than not being alone on their remote farm. Several years later after both Francis and Mary are tragically killed in separate incidents, Jeanne and David meet for the first time as they both drop their respective children off at the same boarding school run by its unconventional teacher, Alice. Despite Jeanne and David's attraction to each other, a second chance at love for both may be impeded by the memories of their respective first spouse, for David especially as Mary's murderers were never caught.
