Pick (2010)

1916: a Voyeur stalks a Damsel at a boudoir. Pick depicts the interactions of two trapped entities within a purgatorial world. The film was shot in the actual basement where a riot totaling 1500 veteran soldiers unified to tear apart the Riverside Hotel in Calgary, Alberta. The film embodies the violent energy of two nights in the history of this city. The film itself is a ‘glitchy’ cinematic homage to a dark historical moment in Calgary.
