Al McClansky is a cop. With a drinking problem. His partner, Gilstone, argues with police chief Stevens that McClansky, despite his unorthodox methods with criminals and unrestrained alcoholism, is a good cop who gets the job done. Stevens, however, disagrees with McClansky’s methods, such as forcing criminals to wear shoes filled with McClansky’s vomit while they are incarcerated. Stevens takes McClansky’s badge and gun. Now, armed with his own gun and fake toy badge, McClansky drunkenly stumbles upon an old nemesis: Shady Wells, notorious criminal who sells drugs to children. McClansky’s last shot at redemption is to take down Shady. But there’s police redemption, and then there’s McClansky’s redemption.
