In this philosophical drama, a ‘what-if’ conundrum is put into effect as an otherworldly figure throws a larger-than-life switch in a back alley of a stereotypical modern town, plunging everything but the people decades into the past. ‘Circuit Breaker’ closely follows three troubled scenarios - a crime scene investigation, a young romance with a secret, and a struggling family relationship - in their differing responses to the sudden deprivation of technology. Exposing both positive and negative qualities of today’s technological world, ‘Circuit Breaker’ challenges the notion of progress and questions just how much we rely on mechanization. This film was fully written, directed, produced, and edited by youth 12-14 years old. |
