Jonah, a young American travels to Israel intending on joining the Israeli Defense Force. One day Jonah and his Israeli cousin take a ride a cab. The cab happens to have been stolen. It is soon understood the boys have been kidnapped by a Palestinian man. The cab driver (kidnapper) soon realizes he has an American in the car, fearing the political weight that carries he offers Jonah his freedom. Jonah is now confronted with leaving his cousin. Deciding whether to flee or help the situation Jonah decides to flee. Though, as guilt sets in he forces himself to stop an oncoming car that is driven by a Palestinian fruit farmer. With a hopeless language barrier, the farmer is hesitant to trust Jonah but can feel his distress and offers him a ride, where they meet up with the enemy at a small gas station.
