In 1934, a rebellion broke out in the children penitentiary of Belle-Île-en-Mer, in France. Inspired by news reports of the event, poet and screenwriter Jacques Prévert and director Marcel Carné decide to make a movie together. Little did they know that ‘La fleur de l’âge’ was to become one of the great lost movies in the history of cinema. |
