Las Flores de Mama is a short narrative about displacement and perseverance that follows one woman’s negotiation of these difficult circumstances through a subtle lens of magical realism. The plot follows Maria, a young woman far from her home and family back in the Dominican Republic, as she completes her medical residency in Boston and acclimates to her new surroundings. |
