A documentary about music and identity - a journey into the heart of folk music. We follow the romantic bohemian Carlos, the sweet gentle Olga and the two members of the group Duo Coplanacu - the cheerful and vital Julio and the reflective poetic Roberto. Through these persons, the big emotions that the folk music catalyzes are shown, in a country where the emotional spectrum is vast and where music is a very important ingredient of daily life. The intensity of the Argentinean folk music and the portraits of the main characters are leading elements of the film. The focus is on the folk music as a testimony of what happens and has happened within society - an important issue for understanding any culture. |
