Aurelia is a Mancha’s peasant who barely can keep the estate of her husband (José), imprisoned for killing a man. When Juan enters her service as a farmhand, land begins to regain its former glory at the same time the boy feels increasingly attracted to her mistress. Although nobody in the village wants to work in the lands of “the damned” - Until one day José regains freedom and returns home. Motivated by jealousy, then begins a fierce rivalry between the two men, who are vying for the love of Aurelia. |
