An allegory. People without faces use vicious dogs to track anyone who does have a face. If the dogs catch someone, they tear them up after biting off their face, which can be sold on the black market. Faceless news reporters film their dispatches from the beach as two people with faces race to escape capture. The woman is ingenious, using a bicycle and a photocopy machine to elude and fool her captors. The sea may be her refuge. |
