A documentary, originally aired in 1990, about the strip-mining industry in the Appalachian Mountains and the damage it has caused to the environment and to the residents who work in the coal mines and live nearby. Native Kentuckian, Joyce Wilbar, made shooting in the region possible through her connections with the people.
