The current state of the world is filled with tragedy and sorrow. Terrorism, fascism, deceit, death, and so much misery that it is hard for people to keep faith and find the silver lining in the clouds above us. Is it just a coincidence or something more? With the Heavens in turmoil, the once Archangel Gabriel is fed up with the on-going struggle between good and evil. No longer aligned with Heaven or Hell, he seizes the opportunity make the Earth his throne. However to do so he either needs the blessing or the compliance of his former friend, the Archangel Michael, who is now the lone protector of Earth and her people. Knowing Michael’s physical supremacy, Gabriel ropes Michael into a game of fate in the form of poker, where each hand is worth more than mere chips, but the lives of Earth’s inhabitants past and present, and the fate of Earth itself.
