Safety reinvents a scene from Tobe Hooper’s Poltergeist into a slow rumination of safety and danger as defined by the man-made and natural world. The viewer is taken through several simultaneously shifting time-lines examining the same image, all beginning and ending in a neighborhood front yard. The brief journey in and out of the proverbial and literal woods capitalizes on and is referential to that time-honored symbol of the unknown. |
