A cartoonish army man aids Jimmy through his fears as they are pursued by a tyrannical coach and Jimmy’s overbearing father. Only Jimmy’s mother seems to try to connect with the boy who blocks her way. Jimmy struggles with becoming like everyone else, pursing his dreams of drawing and writing, or hiding away in his own world. |
