Produce two films during an artists residency in an abandoned office block in Farringdon, London, December 2013. The films will comment on one another, on the building in which the residency ran, urban development, the process of film-making and the role of the director/artist. Using footage of window cleaners, cleaning the Flame Towers in Baku, Azerbaijan as a visual starting point I developed the scripts for the two films during the residency. The scripts were developed for the character of a film director to be recorded in the Farringdon space. The films should confront the structure of documentary forms allowing for conflicting readings to occur.
