Debra made this film as a labor of love to showcase two innovative programs for elderly folks in Milwaukee: the Adult Day Center assists people with functional impairment, and the ReCharge! class helps people with memory loss. The nonprofit that runs these programs, the Jewish Home and Care Center Foundation, serves the general public and welcomes people of all religions, races, walks of life, and backgrounds. The programs are truly remarkable and provide a beautiful, loving, supportive environment for all of the participants. Former Governor Martin Schreiber and his wife Elaine appear in the film, along with a variety of other participants and family members. |
