This was a really good film. I have seen it a few times over the years and it never gets old. It’s kind of like Se7en or Fight Club. You know the ending, but it still gets you every time.

I watched it after seeing your comment. I kept thinking as I watched how DNA and other forensic technology would have caught the guy. But sadly, that wasn’t available and of course his taking the blame for murders he didn’t do also let the real killers of the hook. Wonder if the police ever went back and looked at the murders he didn’t commit?

I heard they might of finally found out who the killer is. From what I have seen and read it was an Air Force Vet who did the killings. I’ll message you with the link about it.

Thanks and it wasn’t the guy named Leigh? It seemed all evidence pointed to that guy.

I know the FBI has a partial DNA sample from the real Zodiac Killer, and has never released it… guessing they can’t do much with it at this point. It’s something I don’t think will ever be truly solved.

Don’t wanna burst ur bubble, but Poste and the other more recent suspect (the one who didn’t know his biological father) Were both weak suspects all built around media hype and heavy circumstancial evidence.
Both parties involved(the 4 ‘casebreakers’ and Gary Stewart) had financial aspirations.
Both had book publishing deals already lined up (Stewart’s was a best seller called The Most Dangerous Animal of All)
Both had television production miniseries featuring them as the stars
Both had weak evidence that eventually crumbled when brought to professionals

You haven’t burst any bubbles. I posted that in reference to Dime’s comment about the Air force vet possibly being the zodiac.

~Dime~ 0 points 9 months ago. 4/5 stars.

I heard that Gary Francis Poste was the one with the most evidence. Now like I told Piglet. It’s not a 100% sure thing. And I know a lot of the information for Poste isn’t the best. I know the FBI has a partial DNA sample from the real Zodiac Killer, and has never released it… guessing they can’t do much with it at this point. It’s something I don’t think will ever be truly solved.

But the movie in itself tosses even more fuel to the fire. If you guys haven’t watched this, do so. Great damn film. One of if not the best when it comes to the Zodiac Killer movies.

Merrigan Able 1 points 9 months ago. 4/5 stars.

Yes, I agree - it will probably continue to go unsolved… Perhaps this heightens it’s fascination for people. It could be that many intelligent predators never get caught. Ted Bundy was often cited as being of high intelligence, but he got caught…

I love this film, too. Like you, I can watch it again and again. The cast is great, and it could very well be - the best movie on the Zodiac. I think it is.

I agree. I am kind of glad Piglet commented on this, even with my original comment being over a year old now - it shows in the most commented section … maybe it will get more people who have not seen or heard of this before a chance to check it out. It’s such a great movie. And like you said, the cast is outstanding.
