Lychener 64 shows the different construction phases of the house and gives all those a word, who participated in this project of regional and social modification. Negotiations, developments and mood changes are documented and a community is shown, that grows steadily closer. With more or less patience and negotiation skills, the protagonists are faced by the front of reconstruction. Between waste, jackhammer and packing case they survive their occasionally eclectic daily life. At the same time we experience, how they - caused by the threat to their own living space - increasingly ask questions about individual freedom, assimilation or resistance. The protagonists find themselves in changing roles, as potential owners or outcasts. |
