This old version is the classic, and far more entertaining than the modern redo
agreed 👍🛸👽
This is the one. However, the closest runner-up is Lux Radio Theater featuring Rennie. Armed Forces Radio Services (AFRS) broadcast it also on Hollywood Radio Theater. Also check out Fantastic Films.
Classic 1950ies era Sci-Fi!
I grew up watching classic Sci-Fi movies like this one on Late Night Fridays and/or Saturday Afternoons as a kid growing up in the 70ies era.
Awesome Sci-Fi classic, starring Michael Rennie! 4/5 Robo-Stars!
Awesome? Super Awesome! I say.
While this is not the typical Sci-Fi film I most often prefer nowadays, with its heavy moral message and light (relative) action sequences , it is the first movie that ever really made me think.
Like all movies of this era it was censored and still controversial in its day.
I watched a lot of television during my youth as a latch-key child and of the hundreds (if not thousands) of old movies I saw, very few do I remember.
The Day the Earth Stood Still, War of the Worlds and Forbidden Planet are my top 3 old timey movies with the latter being my fav and the former as a must see.
Thank You to the uploader and hope you add some downloadable links if you want.
“booger, klaatu barada nikto”
Translated, in this case, it means I will find more Links for you.
Find out who the hell is downvoting RoboPhone and the entire page!!?
EauShyt… and aaaargh! (at least people came in to upvote all the neg’s!) Yay Peeps!! +1
DUDE(ette?)!
Translation : I am most appreciative of your efforts on my behalf and hope you do not trouble yourself over much as merely watching this will suffice, but if you do find more I will jump up and down and giggle like the proverbial little school girl.
Amazing what meaning a single word can have, yes?
New (downloadable) tweaked Versions are now available!
To quote another Sci-Fi icon, “Engage!”
You da Man, Dude!
