The desire to withdraw back into the womb where none of the irritants of life can reach. This is a natural craving that we all share. My life today, aggravated by pollen allergies, has a particularly bodily felt dimension of that urge. Through a symbolic birth, I escape those aggravations and return to the fantasies that my mother and I dreamed of before I was born. Our collective vision elevates nature, sensuality, and the feminine to the vision of a goddess, that we worship in an everlasting moonrise of fecundity and beauty. |
