Details:

A short independent 25 minute film, shot in black & white and on locations in and around London, United Kingdom. Written, directed and produced by Philip Martin. ‘Peiman’- played by Essa Zahir, goes through life very much a dreamer. With a “foggy notion” about life, love or the afterlife is a catalyst for his numerous heated and comical debates with his buddies. Nevertheless, he sets out to win the heart of his fantasies ‘Sami’- played by Geri Halliwell. In 1993, a cast of five unknown actors were chosen out of hundreds of applicants to work with a young documentary film maker- Philip Martin to make a short film/pilot with the idea of a feature film or TV series in mind. With no script to begin with, Philip Martin was eager to work in the Mike Leigh method, using his actors through guided improvisations and observation to develop a story, based on the actors unique personalities, talents and working chemistry. After nearly a year, endless meetings and many explored routes, the final script was drafted and film shot on a shoe-string budget in 1994.
