Tourist (2016)

Yuko, a 20-something Japanese woman arrives in LAX seemingly on vacation as a tourist. We soon learn she has a most unpleasant task - she’s on a mission hired by the Yakuza to kidnap her very best friend, the daughter of a powerful Japanese government official also visiting as a tourist. The Yakuza is blackmailing the official for past deeds. Yuko meets and hires Michael, an newly unemployed Iraq veteran to help Yuko find her friend. Over time, their relationship becomes intense and unpredictable but Yuko’s real intention against the official is to right a wrong he committed against her family years ago.
