Stapleman lands a job at Barker and Barker, a curiously nondescript office in which employees stamp paper all day long. To make his job easier, Stapleman asks for a stapler, but is met with bewilderment from his colleagues and boss. At Barker and Barker, staples apparently don’t exist. This revelation propels Stapleman on an absurd journey of makeshift staples, secrecy and deception that results in an office confrontation that brings the office into chaos. But when the boss learns of Stapleman’s dissent, he moves to silence this rebel. But is Stapleman just plain crazy, or does he speak the truth? |
