The title of this DVD is a misleading word play, it is not a compilation of the best songs of The Beatles, but rather a documentary, centered on Pete Best as the original drummer of the group, in their pre-recording years, 1960-1962. We learn about their beginning in Liverpool, and the period in Hamburg, Germany. The DVD shows lingering bitterness in Pete Best and his friends about how and why he was replaced by Ringo Star on August 16, 1962. |
