After witnessing a violent murder, a young woman named Melissa slips into a downward spiral of madness, pushing her to the brink of her own sanity. Nightmarish visions and false memories distort her recollection of the events surrounding the night of the murder as she tries to convey the brutality of the killing in a phone conversation, all the while attempting to regain control of her life. Throughout the film, Melissa undergoes a transformation from innocence to impurity to empowerment, climaxing in a rite of passage that leads to a twisted redemption and a new found sense of self. |
