In Brazil’s richest region, men and women describe in detail their precarious conditions of life and work. 17 years after the strike in Guariba, they revisit their history, evaluate what was gained in the 1984 strike, the losses imposed by technological changes and new forms of management of the agricultural work, and devise alternatives. |
