Paul’s search for perfection seems to have been reached with Inara but it is what happened to Aurora on that fateful night which Paul cannot and will not forget. Paul’s story is that of ourselves, in constant search for perfection in our consumerist society and our inability to recognize that what we want is not necessarily what we need. Through his relationships with Inara, Aurora and Anna we see the beginnings of recognition and acceptance that there is no such thing as a perfect human being and that just maybe it is chaos and imperfection in which we can find true happiness.
