A very slow moving film. The just of it is about Italian immigrants in Australia. The young mother of two small children leaves them and her husband with just a note. The husband copes by brooding. Lots of this is non verbal. There is a female narrator speaking in Italian with English subs who I only figured out was a sister of a work friend of the husband about a third of the way through the film. Rather than lush, the rural area seemed baren to me. Other than the kids being cute and good actors, I saw nothing appealing in this film.
