I’m so glad i finally had a chance to see this old classic b&w movie. Gene Tierney is so beautiful in this, lovely acting and Rex Harrison is very dashing as the captain. A sweet old-fashioned story, sentimental and nostalgic, perfect for watching on a rainy afternoon! Really enjoyed it, thanks for posting it here :))x
Glad I found this for everyone to enjoy. Try the Vidtodo especially, as I tweaked it a bit for better picture quality.
Yeah i watched it on Vidtoto, nice tweak Robo, the picture quality was excellent! Thanks!! :))x
😍 Thank You
If you’re a Gene Tierney fan, you will love her in an earlier 1943 movie, called Heaven Can Wait, alongside equally legendary co-star Don Ameche.
I always loved the movie ‘LAURA’ starring GT and Dana Andrews as the chain-smoking detective who falls in love with a painting of her after her murder. The film has a haunting theme tune, another great b/w classic. I re-watched it here recently and it’s still very enjoyable :))x
Agreed! Here’s the Link to the 1945 classic Laura, for those intrigued by your review. Thanks!
This is the movie that made Gene Tierney my favorite older film actress. It’s just perfection.
A thoroughly enjoyable watch. Don’t miss out on this excellent production, a true classic.
I like the movie, and the TV show both. Can you say intrigue?
This is a childhood favorite that has withstood the passage of time.
Gene Tierney was gorgeous. I have seen her in many films but this one called for her to portray a longing that could never be fulfilled. She must have had life experience.
Of course, Rex Harrison was such a classical actor. He could do no wrong.
I love him as Doctor Dolittle. https://www.primewire.li/movie/133447-watch-doctor-dolittle
This is a great movie. It should be on everyone’s watch list. Great acting and story. I love the ending.
She was a great actress but she was also an inventor and very intelligent. Some say her inventions lead to what we now call the “cell phone” or as the Europeans call them mobile phones.
Sorry you have that wrong, it wasn’t Gene Tierney, it was Hedy Lamarr who also invented as a hobby, notably something called ‘Frequency-hopping spread spectrum’ which today is used in Bluetooth apparently :))x
And there were rumors that she might have been a spy.
Great movie for sure! Loved this when I first saw it.
