Mark from Belgium is in Thailand as an exchange student. Due to cultural misunderstandings he unintentionally offends the shy Thai girl Nat. When they are teamed up for an assignment they are forced to start talking. This proves to be very difficult. Nat seems strange and introvert to Mark. Their common friend Rambo, who seems to float effortlessly between their cultures with his confident charm, helps Mark to understand the new culture he’s in. With patience, Mark helps Nat to get the confidence she needs to realize one of her dreams. When Mark learns about Nat’s dark secret he begins to reevaluate his own life-choices too.
