Details:

The title, ‘Unbroken Legacy’ accurately and poignantly describes the miracle that is Pipestone National Monument. Against all odds, America’s Native Peoples survive to this day. And against enormous odds, the tiny island of land known today as Pipestone National Monument remains one of the few places in the world where Native Americans can gather red pipestone to create their pipes. ‘Unbroken Legacy,’ a 20-minute interpretive film, unfolds the amazing story of this sacred site - past and present. Told exclusively through the words of Native Americans, the film shows visitors that Pipestone National Monument is a living breathing place for modern Indians to not only connect with their ancestors but more importantly, to continue their ways.
