In the spring of 1940, a young Irish communist is sent to Italy where he has been assigned to bring supply to a group of underground fighters. Meanwhile, in the Cinecittà studios, movie-maker Mainardi, about to shoot the first Italian film in color, is waiting for Technicolor consultants and the film stock they are assigned to bring to him all the way from the United States. Now, it just so happens that through a series of coincidences Hogan, who does not speak Italian, ends up at Cinecittà where he is mistaken for a Technicolor technician… |
