Karaoke Soul (2007)

Karaoke. That’s where it all comes out. Everyone has a song. For Peter it’s ‘We are the Champions’, and for a few minutes he is one. He may not have Freddie’s voice, but he’s got all the moves. But he hasn’t sung Queen since losing his job. He needs to feel good to sing Queen. Set in and around a Northern town that has seen better days, Karaoke Soul is about ordinary people who come together on a Saturday night to forget all their troubles and sing. A creative and original blend of performance and intimate observational documentary, the film tells the very personal stories of three karaoke singers through the songs that mean so much to them.
