= Low Quality | = Medium Quality | = High Quality | How do I watch these? |
I never understood why this movie gets so much hate. I think itās because everyone expects every shyamalan movie to have a big twist at the end - and considered it a fail for not having said twist? But the Village isnāt meant to be a twist ending. Itās just a story. A really good story! Itās always been one of my fav movies.
Donāt hate it just because itās a Shyamalan movie. Thatās unfair. The visuals are beautiful, the acting is wonderful, the story is so so interesting, and the pace is just right.
I just read an article about this movie, and I remember going to the theater to watch it. It also had some up-and-coming actors. Adrien Brody, Jesse Eisenberg, Brendan Gleeson (a well-established actor), Jayne Atkinson (a good character actor). I think I might watch it again and of course this movie doesnāt have that āgotchaā feeling like The 6th Sense but still worth watching in my opinion.
I AGREE !
A few scenes into this movie, when you realize that thereās no church in that town, itās over. OVER. Illusion shattered and youāre left waiting over an hour for the other shoe to drop.
The second of those two stars was for the colors. Those were pretty.
What a waste of time..
Do Not waste your time with this Sad piece of Celluloid
Friend of mine recommended this movie. Weāre not friends anymore.
