Details:

Ten years after the death of promising actor, Morris Turner, four of his closet friends gather to discuss and remember the man who had a profound impact on all of their lives. Turner died on October 14th, 1998 after a twenty-eight year battle with Sickle Cell Disease, leaving friends, teachers and colleagues with an immense and sudden void in their lives. Morris strongly believed in the triumph of the human spirit against all odds, never allowing his disease to dictate the circumstances of his life. Never letting the debilitations of his disease stand in the way of his goals or his dreams, but living every moment with passion and conviction. Turner’s mentor, Kooge fondly recalls, “He had the disease, the disease did not have him.” Combining over 50 hours of archived video footage with photographs and commentary from the people who knew and loved him, the film combs through the memories of those who proudly stood beside the man as he strove to achieve his lifelong goal to become a professional actor. Due to Morris’ untimely passing, his final project was never completed. It is presented here for the first time, not for audiences, but FOR MORRIS.
