The three stars of La Forza del Destino discuss their role, the music and perform their aria from the historic first recording in 1997 of the original 1862 version, commissioned by The Imperial Maryinsky Theatre (now The Kirov Opera), from the composer Giuseppe Verdi. The sketches in the programs are from the originals by Andreas Rolla and courtesy of The Kirov Ballet and Opera Archive Library. The aria is performed with The Kirov Orchestra conducted by Maestro Valery Gergiev. |
