Students spend much of their lives working, travelling to and fro, looking forward to the time when it all pays off, but what will remain of that time in our memories? Prospectus makes extensive use of time-lapse photography to capture the rhythms and routines of students at a campus university. One such student, James (Josh Goulding), is fully swept up in this fast paced world until he meets Rose (Lily Beck), another student at the university. Structured around James s point of view, the film is in turn a comment on the way that the time we waste disintegrates in memory, as if it never happened, and the time we make the most of remains whole and complete. |
