In the ancient seaport of Kingsport, Massachusetts there lives a strange old man, shunned by the locals. He lives alone in a large house on Water Street where he sits alone talking with a curious collection of glass jars. The old man is reputed to have once been a sea captain and to have amassed a hoard of gold coins. Three criminals plan to go and break into his home and steal the gold. But they are soon to find that the man is not all that he seems. This short animated film is a reasonable faithful adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft short story of the same name.
