A lone, unnamed Soldier faces the most horrifying of situations when, in the thick of battle, he comes face to face with another soldier he has just killed. Attempting to bury the body, he unearths a mysterious box which, when opened, engulfs him in a brilliant white light. Waking suddenly in an empty field, the Soldier discovers he is in a different place. The sounds of war are gone. The sweet hum of nature surrounds him. But he is not alone. And what he discovers will send him on a dark path he has been down before. Many, many times. |
