Details:

Giovanni Boggini is a mountaineer living in the Greina Alps in Switzerland. He makes cheese and butter using the traditional wood-fire caldera method. But since 2001 production processes have had to be modernized in in order to comply with EU standards. This documentary follows the different stages of cheese making while at the same time focusing on the cheese maker’s dedication and love despite the difficulties created by modernization.
