I kept waiting for something more to happen in this movie, but alas, not much did. It did have some creepy moments, and Shirley Knight made me uncomfortable at times, doing a good job therefore. It was beautifully shot, and the house and her surroundings, were ripe for a creepy atmosphere. But unfortunately, too many subplots and too many questions unanswered. OK for a one-time watch, if bored. Don’t expect something memorable. Personally, I prefer the novella from King.
