To many kids in Baltimore, playing lacrosse at the highest level is a birthright. To most of the students at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, the sport was a total mystery. Still, the game found its way into this urban oasis. A former Johns Hopkins captain and Major League Lacrosse All-Star built a program out of players who had nothing but their desire to learn the game. They came together, as a family. Chasing the Win follows the Hornets’ as they fight for their first victory in five years while playing in the country’s top lacrosse league. Perseverance, teamwork and discipline become more than trite coach speak when the players reflect on the sport they knew so little about but has now thoroughly changed their lives. |
