Details:

Every day, about 800 people from Central America countries are smuggled into Mexican territory. They fled poverty, insecurity and violence in their countries of origin, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and they only take with them the hope of a new but uncertain life in the United States. They travel on the roofs of freight trains that cross Mexico from south to north. Their illegal status makes them more vulnerable to the risks of falls from the train, there are also the abuses of the police and organized crime, kidnappings, torture, rape, death. « Protect me » is a prayer but also a cry of despair that some individuals have been able to hear. They are Mexican and they help their Central American neighbors. Through their actions and words, subtly, we are getting closer to these men, women and children migrants with which we embark.
