Inti Raymi is centuries old. A Kichwa ceremony for the sun or Inti. The offerings for those attending and to the abundance from the land, the sky, the sun are sacred thanks for a continued harvest. Museo Viviente exists in Otavalo. They have a yearly Inti Raymi gathering during the months including Inti Raymi. The circle dance is the classic form of Inti Raymi. Live music defines an ancient marriage of connection part of the Kichwa communities. |
