Rafael Cachiuango was born on the side of Mt. Imabura,(15,100ft)in Ecuador. He has been an artesano and farmer in the Otavalo Valley his entire life. Farming and artesano work really hasn’t changed very much over hundreds of years. In 2015, his Andean Kichwa neighbors are still have animals, speak in Kichwa and work the land daily. They keep century old Incan traditions in their communities. From the farm to the market on Saturdays in Otavalo, his life iz defined by the farming and artesano work on the mountain. |
