Coming from Singapore, in which the LGBTQ community is hardly accepted at all and where gay marriage is illegal, making this video at their only ‘pride’ event was a great opportunity. Being gay myself, this video was also done personally and for an art project. I asked strangers to take part in this, hoping it would give more of an emphasis and impact to my viewers; that Singapore is a community that should be able to accept the LGBTQ community and that we are like everyone else. |
