In Reconcile we follow Jonathan and his family history through three decades. Jonathan’s grandfather was a soldier in the 1940s and witnessed horrible events during the Invasion of Norway. He did not believe in Hitler’s war, deserted the Nazi party and chose to live hiding in Sweden until the end of WWII. In the 1980s Siegfried’s attempt to reconcile with a particular family resulted in his death by gun shot. His grandson, Jonathan who has suffered since witnessing the murder, wants to heal his trauma by reaching out to the perpetrator’s daughter. |
