Details:

A spoof “mockumentary” about government workers, vying to be selected as the idlest person in America. The candidates are interviewed, “documentary” style about how they are excited, nervous, confident, worried, don’t have a chance, just doing it for the fun of it. Candidates are interviewed in line waiting to register and waiting to be auditioned. Some talk about the training and practicing they’ve been doing… we cut to “training vignette” shots: in the TV room on the couch… sleeping at work… outside of government buildings for coffee and smokes… waiting in line for coffee, sunning, etc. There are a few “offline” interviews with our new potential “Idle winners” outside government buildings for smokes. We close with the losers and winners emerging from the final selections and the winner with “winner vignettes” with the winner languishing in her winningness, on the couch… sleeping at work… outside of government buildings for coffee and smokes… waiting in line for coffee, sunning, etc. Disclaimers No government workers were harmed during the making of this film. No government workers did any actual work during the making of this film.
