Maggie (Thorina Rivera) is a borderline insane Hollywood makeup artist. At the beginning of the movie, she gets shot down by a big time director after insisting on using practical effects in his new horror project. After a painful breakup with her girlfriend, she obtains a magical makeup kit from a supernatural being that will allow her to transform people into whatever she designs. Werewolves, zombies, you name it. She seizes this chance to get some bloody revenge on the director and girlfriend who wronged her. Set in a modern day Los Angeles, Drop Dead Gory is a horror romp that mixes scares and laughs, paying homage to the likes of Sam Raimi, John Carpenter, Stanley Kubrick, and others.
