Pietro gets work in the mines and his wife makes a humble little hut for their new home. Their employer is a brute and a driver. He admires Pietro’s pretty bride and tries to win her from her loving husband. Twice he is thwarted by the watchful lover-husband. Then he gets her alone and attacks her. But a friend overhears her cries and Pietro soon has the older man in his power. He binds him and together Pietro and his wife flee to the mountains. He tells his comrades and as the mine owner is freed and starts in pursuit of the fleeing pair, Pietro’s friends spring a blast upon the pursuers and as they pass the point all are slain by the explosion. |
